The corridor is silent. Too silent. Behind that door could be the exit, or the Unidentified crawling from the ceiling. Or the Strangler blocking the other way. Or both. And you have one turn to decide.
WHAT IT'S ABOUT
When the lab generates what shouldn't exist
Amorphous Peril is the second expansion for Terrorscape, the asymmetric survival horror game where one player controls the killers and the others try to survive. Illustrated by Arepko, it introduces the Abandoned Laboratory: clinical corridors, operating rooms, containment cells where something has gone wrong. Art from the team that brought modern horror aesthetics to tabletop gaming.
Here you don't run from one killer. You face two simultaneously: the Unidentified, an amorphous mass that takes shape from your fears, and the Strangler, a hunter who chokes and drags. Two miniatures, two ability decks, double the pressure on the map. Survivors must coordinate escape routes, divide the monsters' attention, exploit the dangerous terrain of the Lab. The killer-player orchestrates both threats, trying to close all escape routes.
What they say abroad
Amorphous Peril isn't bigger. It's more claustrophobic. Two predators on a cramped map change the entire risk calculation.

What's in the box
Two monsters, one map, zero escape routes
The Unidentified
Protean mass that changes shape. Its ability cards simulate unpredictable attacks: it contracts, expands, moves through narrow spaces. Miniature with unsettling organic sculpture.
The Strangler
Methodical hunter who grabs and drags. Ability deck focused on control: blocks exits, chokes wounded survivors, moves victims to dead zones. Overwhelming physical presence.
The Laboratory
Double-sided map (Killer/Survivor) with narrow corridors, containment cells, operating rooms. Dangerous terrain: acid vats, sealed doors, ventilation systems. Smaller than the base maps, more lethal.
26 ability cards
13 per killer. Asymmetric powers: the Unidentified mutates and adapts, the Strangler hunts and immobilizes. Each deck with different power curves, to study and master.

How to play
The flow of each round
Terrorscape base with an additional layer: now the killer-player manages two entities, survivors must track two threats.
Survivors plan movements, play skill cards, attempt actions (open doors, collect items, activate map events). They must triangulate the positions of both killers to avoid ambushes.
The killer-player activates the first monster: draws cards from the Unidentified deck, moves the miniature, performs attacks or special abilities (mutation, slide, multi-assault). Survivors react.
Same structure, different deck: the killer-player activates the Strangler, uses control/immobilization cards, moves trapped survivors to dangerous areas. Two killer turns per round change the pace.
Victory/defeat conditions are checked (survivors escaped, died, objectives completed). The round tracker advances. The Lab map introduces environmental events: self-sealing doors, alarms, toxic ventilation.

A game in five moments
What happens at the table
Not the rules. The experience.
Setup and first exploration
The killer-player arranges the miniatures in the spawn zones, survivors study the Lab map looking for patterns. Someone immediately notices that the corridors are narrower than usual. The first movement is cautious: no one wants to encounter both monsters on the first turn.
First double contact
A survivor turns a corner and sees the Unidentified. Decides to turn back. On the other side of the corridor, the Strangler appears. The map is already closed. The table falls silent. The killer-player smiles. The tactical dance begins: whoever moves first loses position.
Coordinated hunt
The killer-player orchestrates the two monsters like pincers. The Unidentified pushes survivors towards the cells, the Strangler blocks the side exits. Survivors try to divide the threats: one acts as bait, the others look for objectives. It works for one turn, then the killer adapts the strategy.
The acid vat moment
A wounded survivor has only one way: cross the room with the vats. Dangerous terrain, but the alternative is the Strangler. Rolls the dice. Passes. The table explodes. Two turns later another tries. Fails. The killer-player drags the miniature into the vat. No one will forget that scene.
Escape or final massacre
Either the survivors have coordinated enough to open a passage and escape en masse, or the lab has become a slaughterhouse and the remaining miniatures can be counted on one hand. The killer-player counts the points. The survivors are already thinking about a rematch with inverted roles.
🐸What to know beforehandThree honest things, from friends▼
What to know beforehand
Three things you need to consider
Requires the base game
It is not standalone. You need Terrorscape base to play: main rulebook, core tokens, some shared mechanics. This box adds map, killer and cards, it doesn't replace anything. If you don't have the base game, this expansion cannot be opened.
Cognitive load for the killer-player
Managing two skill decks, two miniatures, two hunting patterns simultaneously is challenging. The killer-player must keep track of separate cooldowns, double lines of sight, synergies between monsters. It's not a role for those who play distractedly: it requires focus and tactical memory.
Tighter balance
With two killers on the map, survivors have less margin for error. A wrong move leads to unrecoverable pincer situations. The base game allows bluffs and diversions; here every wasted turn can cost the game. More punitive, less forgiving.
🏆Victory and defeatWhat the ending rewards▼
How it ends
How to win and how to die
Asymmetric objectives: survivors seek escape, the killer seeks body count.
Survivor Victory
- Reach and activate the Lab exit with at least half the group alive
- Complete specific scenario objectives (deactivate containment, retrieve data, sabotage lab)
- Survive until the final round if the scenario provides for automatic extraction
Killer Victory / Survivor Elimination
- Reduce survivors below the minimum escape threshold (usually half the group dead)
- Prevent objective completion within the turn limit
- Trap all survivors in dead zones with no escape routes (technical victory)
Two monsters, one map, zero safe spaces. Amorphous Peril transforms Terrorscape into pure tactical positioning: if you love ruthless asymmetry and want to see your friends sweat, this expansion is the perfect lab.

FAQ about Terrorscape: Amorphous Peril
Can I play this expansion without the Terrorscape base game?
No. Amorphous Peril requires Terrorscape base to function: main rulebook, core tokens, some shared mechanics. This box contains only the Lab map, 2 killers, skill cards, and additional components. Without the base game, you cannot play.
What mechanics does Terrorscape: Amorphous Peril use?
Tactical grid movement, hand management (skill cards for survivors and killers), line of sight, resource management (stamina, health), action programming, pure asymmetry (one vs many). The novelty here is the simultaneous management of two killer entities with separate decks.
Are the two killers always played together or can I use only one?
The expansion is designed to play both killers simultaneously on the Lab map: it's its distinctive feature. Technically you could use only one killer with the base rules, but you would lose all the pincer dynamic and double pressure that make Amorphous Peril unique.
How much harder is it to manage two killers compared to the base game?
Significantly more challenging. You have to keep track of two skill decks, two positions, two lines of sight, two cooldowns. If in the base game the killer-player can improvise, here planning is needed: you must coordinate the monsters to close escape routes. Recommended for those who have already mastered the base game.
Is this edition available in Italian?
No, this is the English edition. Skill cards, rulebook, and textual components are in English. The game has a strong tactical/positional component and the cards use clear iconography, but it requires reading abilities and scenario setup. No Italian editions have been announced at the moment.
The people behind the game
Who invented it, who designed it, who publishes it — and what else they've done.
Terrorscape: Amorphous Peril is an expansion for the asymmetrical survival horror game Terrorscape, for 2-4 players, 60-90 minutes, ages 14+. It introduces two new killers (The Unidentified and The Strangler), the double-sided Laboratory map, 26 skill cards, and coordinated hunting mechanics. Published by Ice Makes, it requires the base game to play. The one-vs-many system evolves: the killer-player manages two entities simultaneously, survivors must avoid pincer movements on a narrower and deadlier map. Tactical movement, hand management, line of sight, and dangerous terrain combine in claustrophobic games where every corridor can become a trap. Available on frogames.business in English edition with immediate shipping.
