The FroGames Card
The crystal shines, the potion reflects light, the bread has a golden crust. The artisan dragons have truly worked their magic.
WHAT IT IS ABOUT
When cardboard tokens are no longer enough
Made by Lucky Duck Games and Cardboard Alchemy, these painted and silk-screened wooden tokens bring Sandara Tang's artisan dragon world directly to your table. 210 pieces in total, at least 35 for each of the six resource types: crystals, plants, iron, potions, bread, meat.
They replace the cardboard tokens from the standard edition of Flamecraft with three-dimensional, hand-painted, and custom components. Each resource has a recognizable shape: the bread has a crust, the potion has a cap, the crystal reflects. They arrive in transparent, resealable bags, ready to be integrated into the base box.
What they say abroad
"Crafted by the dragons of Flamecraft, these custom-painted and silk-screened goods will enchant your town!"
Created by the dragons of Flamecraft, these painted and silk-screened tokens will enchant your town!
— Lucky Duck Games
These tokens don't change the rules, but they change how you interact with the game. The difference between saying 'I take a bread' and actually taking a bread.

Flamecraft: Wooden Tokens
What you'll find in the box
210 tokens, 6 resources
Crystals
At least 35 painted wooden crystals, faceted and shiny. Flamecraft's most precious resource, now recognizable by touch.
Plants
At least 35 silk-screened green leaves. Light, thin, with visible veins. You'll recognize them without looking.
Bread and Meat
At least 35 golden loaves and 35 red steaks. Each food resource has its own shape: crust, marbling, details that make all the difference.
Potions and Iron
At least 35 purple potions with caps and 35 gray anvils. Iconic shapes, hand-painted, carefully silk-screened.
🎲How to playThe rules in four steps▼
How to use them
Plug & play with base Flamecraft
Replace the cardboard tokens, play as usual.
Take out the 210 standard edition resource tokens. Keep them aside or give them to someone who has the base version without the upgrade.
Each resource type comes in a transparent, resealable bag. At least 35 pieces per type: crystals, plants, iron, potions, bread, meat.
You can keep them in the original bags, use custom trays, or mix them in a single container. The tokens are recognizable by touch.
The rules don't change. Collect resources, place dragons, complete enchantments. But now every resource has weight, shape, physical presence.

A game in five moments
The upgrade that transforms the table
It doesn't change the rules. It changes everything else.
Open the box
Transparent bags, tokens organized by type. You see the crystals shine, the potions reflect light. The first feeling: this is serious.
Replace the tokens
The cardboard tokens go back into the box. In their place: painted wood, recognizable shapes. The board looks like something else.
First move
Pick up a potion. You feel it between your fingers, solid, three-dimensional. It's no longer a flat disk: it's a real vial. It changes everything.
Recognize at a glance
You no longer count tokens by looking at the symbol. You recognize them by shape: bread, meat, crystal. The game flows faster.
End of game
Put the tokens back in their bags. Take photos of the table before disassembling. Next time someone sees Flamecraft, they'll immediately ask about this version.

What to know beforehand
Three honest things
Not an insignificant cost
These tokens cost as much as a small game. They don't add rules, they don't change strategy. Consider if the aesthetics are worth the price to you.
Requires base Flamecraft
This is an upgrade, not a standalone game. Without the base Flamecraft box, these tokens are useless.
Variations between pieces
Hand-painted means small differences between tokens. These are not defects: it's the nature of a handcrafted product. If you're looking for perfect industrial uniformity, consider carefully.

How it ends
When it's worth it
It's not for everyone. But for some players, it's exactly what they were looking for.
Buy if
- Flamecraft is among your favorite games and you bring it to the table often
- Aesthetics matter: for you, the game is also experienced with your eyes and hands
- You want components that last: wood ages better than cardboard
Avoid if
- You haven't played Flamecraft yet: buy the base game first, then decide
- You're looking for expansions that add content: these are purely aesthetic
- Your budget is limited: complete your collection first, then think about upgrades
Flamecraft works perfectly well with the standard tokens. But if the game has won you over, these tokens take it to another level.

Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ about Flamecraft: Wooden Tokens
Are these tokens compatible with all editions of Flamecraft?
Yes. They replace the cardboard tokens from the standard edition and integrate perfectly even with the deluxe edition that already has miniature dragons and metal coins.
Do they fit in the base Flamecraft box?
It depends on how you organize them. The original bags take up more space than the flat tokens. Many players use custom organizers or trays to optimize space.
What is the difference between 1st and 2nd print?
The first print (2022) included 216 tokens, 36 per type. The second (2023/2024) includes 210, at least 35 per type. Functionally identical, a small difference in quantity.
Are they necessary for playing or are they just aesthetic?
Purely aesthetic. Flamecraft plays perfectly well with the cardboard tokens included in the base game. These tokens enhance the physical presence of the game, not the mechanics.
Are they available in Italian?
Flamecraft resources are language-independent: they have no text. They work with any language edition of the base game.
