WHAT IT'S ABOUT
The container track for Petr Čáslava's tabletop rally game
Harbordrift is the expansion for Dirt & Dust, the strategic rally game designed by Petr Čáslava (Kutná Hora) and illustrated by Jakub Politzer (Lost Ruins of Arnak, SETI). Published by Albi in 2026, it introduces a completely new track set in a port: ten cards that lead drivers to drift among containers.
The base game combines deck-building and dice placement to simulate a rally race against time. Harbordrift adds an unprecedented track where tight turns and controlled drifts become central: those who manage their car setup and dice will have the best time, those who lose control will pay in seconds and damage.
What they say abroad
"a new track on ten cards"
a new track on ten cards
— Albi
Harbordrift brings a precision challenge. It's a small expansion, but it requires rethinking car setup and dice management. The port environment changes the pace of the race.

Dirt & Dust: Harbordrift
Dirt & Dust works great solo: each driver races against time, not against others. Harbordrift simply adds a new track to tackle, the experience remains complete.
The Track
What you find in Harbordrift
10 track cards
The port takes shape card by card. Containers, tight turns, spaces for drifting. Each section modifies dice placement choices.
Crucial car setup
Drifting requires calibrated suspension and the right tires. The action cards from the base game become even more decisive here.
Resource management
Traction and wrenches remain the heart of the game. The port track changes when and how to spend them.
Dice and damage
A wrong die roll can make you lose control among the containers. Damage dice increase when you push too hard.

How to play
The flow of each round
Harbordrift uses the same rules as Dirt & Dust: four phases per round, ten rounds total.
Each driver rolls their three dice and places them on the board in the corresponding spaces (1-6). Those dice determine which cards you can activate.
You place action cards on the board. If there is a die on the card, you can move it down and activate the effect: you gain traction, wrenches, reduce damage or improve your setup.
Spend wrenches to buy better cards from the market. You use traction to map the track and gain speed points. Every move counts.
If you pushed too hard, you roll damage dice. They worsen your car but increase popularity. The public loves to see parts fly.
⏱️Your first gameThe chronicle, moment by moment▼
A game in five moments
What happens at the table
Not the rules. The experience.
The harbor entrance
You roll the dice, look at your hand, choose the first cards. The track starts wide but the upcoming curves are already visible. Are you calibrating your setup or racing by feel?
First container, first drift
The track narrows. You need traction to hold the line and the right cards not to lose seconds. The die you need hasn't come up. Do you adapt your plan or risk damage?
The steel corridor
Containers slide by the sides, the trajectory is narrow. Every die placement counts. Those who built their deck well are now seeing the results, while those who focused on raw speed are accumulating damage dice.
The drift that makes a difference
A perfect turn, precisely placed dice, cards activated at the right moment. Or an error that costs three seconds and an extra red die. This is where the race is decided.
Final time
The last track card, the total time. You check speed points, count damage, see who managed resources and risks best. Someone already wants to try again.

What to know beforehand
Three things to consider
Requires the base game
Harbordrift is just a track expansion. You must own Dirt & Dust to play it: cards, dice, boards and rules all come from the original game. Here you only get 10 new stage cards.
Luck in dice, not in cards
You build the deck yourself, but fate rolls the dice. A round with bad dice can cost you dearly. If you're looking for absolute control, this isn't your game. Risk management is part of the rally.
Solitaire multiplayer
Each driver races alone against the clock, there's no direct interaction. It's rally, not a bumper-to-bumper race. If you're looking for clashes and overtakes, look elsewhere. Here, the one who optimizes best wins, not the one who hinders the most.
🏆Victory and defeatWhat the ending rewards▼
How it ends
How to win
After ten rounds, the one with the most speed points wins. Speed is gained by mapping the track with traction.
Victory
- You mapped more sections of the track than the other drivers
- You optimized your deck and placed the dice better than anyone else
- You balanced speed and control without accumulating too much damage
Not enough time
- You wasted dice on wrong cards and lost crucial traction
- Damage dice penalized you too much: reduced hand, limited mobility
- You didn't build an efficient deck and were left with basic cards
Harbordrift doesn't revolutionize Dirt & Dust. It adds ten new curves where you can test setups and timing. For those looking for variety in tabletop rally.

FAQ about Dirt & Dust: Harbordrift
Can I play Harbordrift without the base game?
No. Harbordrift is just a set of 10 track cards. You need the complete Dirt & Dust (action cards, driver boards, dice, rules) to play.
What mechanics does Dirt & Dust: Harbordrift use?
Deck-building (you build your deck by buying better cards), dice placement (the rolled dice determine which cards to activate), resource management (traction and wrenches). All in a race against time.
How much does it add to the base game experience?
Harbordrift offers a different track with tighter turns and forced drifts. It doesn't introduce new mechanics, just scenic variety. It's for those who have already exhausted the base tracks and want new challenges.
Does it work well solo?
Yes. Dirt & Dust is designed as a rally: each driver races against the clock, not against others. The solo experience is complete, Harbordrift just adds a new stage to master.
Is it available in Italian?
The edition for sale is in English. The game has text on the cards (actions, car setup), so understanding English is required. There are no verified official or fan-made Italian translations.
