How to play
How the MORABA card works
A four-step action, identical to other probe launch cards but with a conditional bonus.
Spend 2 credits from your reserve. If you have fewer, you cannot play the card.
Follow the standard base game rules for launching: place the probe on the board according to SETI mechanics.
Look at the color of the sector you are currently in. Green, red, blue, or yellow.
Gain one resource matching the sector's color. This is the card's advantage: a launch that also pays out in immediate resources.

The card enters the deck
During setup, you shuffle the DLR card with the other available technologies. It's there, among the standard options, and it costs twice as much. Someone notices it right away.
First sighting
You draw the MORABA card. You have 3 credits. You could launch a normal probe and keep 2 for later, or invest everything and get an extra resource. It depends on where you are.
Sector calculation
You are in the blue sector. You need the blue resource to complete an objective. You play the card, launch the probe, get the bonus. The double cost is justified.
Someone moves
An opponent sees your move and moves one sector before using their launch card. Now they are positioned to get the resource they needed.
Perceived value
End of game. The card came out 2-3 times, not always played. Those who used it well gained 1-2 extra resources. It didn't win them the game, but they had a more efficient turn.
